December 14, 2002
December 14 was a very special day for the students at the Language Centre.
The sights and sounds of Christmas became stronger with our special guest Fergal Kavanagh, a freelance teacher who lives in Naples.
He introduced us to a very interesting and motivating activity "using music in class", with a selection of pop and Christmas songs that he adapted to present creative and stimulating exercices for English classroom… and when the excitement was starting we all ended the evening with a party and a well known music band "CANTICA POPULARIA", active in research and revival of folk music on the area of the Caserta Province. Everybody had a good time.
Fergal Kavanagh was born in Skibbereen- Cork Ireland. He has a degree from the University of Cork and a CTEFLA Certificate. He is currently a freelance teacher and his interests include investigating and experimenting with various approaches to language teaching and learning.
I would like to thank him for this special evening that all my students still remember with great pleasure.
